Managing Roles and Permissions
Every user is assigned one role. Each role comes with a set of default permissions, plus optional toggles.
System Roles
Section titled “System Roles”| Role | Primary Focus |

| Radiologist | View studies, write and sign reports |
| Technologist | Manage imaging workflow, acquire images |
| Front Desk | Manage patients, schedule orders |
| Referring Physician | View assigned studies and reports |
| Administrator | Manage team, settings, and integrations |
Optional Permission Toggles
Section titled “Optional Permission Toggles”When inviting or editing a user, you can toggle additional permissions:
- Signing Authority (Radiologist) — enables final report signing. Without this, a radiologist can only sign as preliminary.
- Template Management — allows creating and editing report templates
- Emergency Access — enables Break Glass emergency access for time-limited elevated permissions
Changing a User’s Role
Section titled “Changing a User’s Role”- Go to Settings > Team
- Click the actions menu on the team member
- Select Edit Member
- Change the Role dropdown
- Adjust permission toggles as needed
- Click Save
Permission Indicators
Section titled “Permission Indicators”In the Team list, icons next to a member’s name indicate special permissions:
- Pen icon — Signing Authority
- Document icon — Template Management
- Shield icon — Emergency Access
